After hearing about all of the benefits of Bone Broths, I was super excited to get a copy of the book Brodo for review. This book is beautiful with lots of pictures and thick pages. The author include information on where to buy bones, what kind to look for, the tools he recommends and the key techniques to use to develop flavor and get the most bang for your buck of every batch. There are so many varieties of broth. I think I would like to try the Seaweed broth but all of them look absolutely delicious. Overall this is a great book, one that I can see myself using regularly. The American Heart Association Healthy Fat's Cookbook is a great resource for heart healthy recipes. The book isn't large but it is packed with great recipes. There are no pictures throughout so if you like to see what you will be making this is not the cookbook for you. There are however tons of quality recipes including the Grilled Vegetable Quesadillas and the Cherry Pear Turnovers which look delicious. I can't wait to try many of these recipes. The book also is a very valuable resource for how many grams of fat and sugar one should have to have a healthy heart diet. A great cookbook for preventing heart disease. I highly recommend it for the delicious recipes it includes. I received a copy of this book for free from Blogging for Books in exchange for my honest review. Get your copy here:

I received this cookbook and was very excited to look through it. When I first received it I was surprised at how small it was and how few recipes there were. When I opened it up I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the recipes and I love how it tells you specifically what the benefits health wise are for each recipe as well. There are some smoothie recipes, main dishes, salads, sides and desserts. All look like something I would try and that my kids might even like. The green smoothie recipe is one that I did try it turned out great and tasted wonderful. It was something I would definitely make again. Overall this book was good but I still do wish there were more recipes in it. The knowledge it provides about different foods and how they help your body is very informative and the recipes were easy and delicious to make. I was excited to receive this book and see what all of the buzz is about. It gives a nice overview of the plan and the basics you need to get started. I think the one thing I liked about this book as it did have a lot of helpful information on what to eat and what not to eat. I was a little disappointed with the books use of on plan foods and ingredients. Many are found at specialty stores. This is not a book about eating whole foods found in your supermarket. You use a fair amount of fake sugar, oat fiber and different tricks to help you feel full longer. It is a plan that might help you lose weight, but doesn't seem to me like healthy eating. There are recipes for cake and all kinds of foods filled with artificial sugar, flours etc. The recipes in this book are few and far between. You will need to buy the cookbook as well in order to fully benefit from the plan. Overall I wasn't impressed with this book. There are many other diets to follow that are backed by science and are much healthier. This fad diet isn't going to cut it for many long term. I was excited to get the Lucky Peach Easy Asian recipes cookbook as I don't have very many Asian recipe books. This one certainly did not disappoint. With thick [ages and lots of photographs, I really felt like I could successfully make all of the recipes in the book. They were extremely easy with easy to find ingredients. The Mall chicken and easy Claypot chicken look absolutely delicious along with the Miso Clam Chowder. I can't wait to get started with this book. Most every recipe was appealing to me and would even appeal to my picky eaters. I highly recommend this book if you are looking for quick, easy recipes that will please just about everyone.
