I was so excited to receive a copy of Eating in the Middle by Andie Mitchell. I love the idea of eating mostly healthy food but being able to cheat too. Andie's new cookbook helps you do just that. From the roasted carrots with honey butter, spice rubbed steak with grilled peaches & blue cheese and the Lime Coconut Cream puffs, everything looks tasty and decadent. Every recipes looks like fun to try and everything looks delicious. The photographs are beautiful and there are tons of recipes included in this book. Most seem rather uncomplicated and the ingredients should all be readily available. I can't wait to try some of the recipes out! I highly recommend adding this book to your collection. There is a unique mix of recipes that you actually want to cook. I received a free copy of this cookbook from Blogging for Books in exchange for my honest review.

I was excited to get my hands on a copy of Home Cooked by Anya Fernald as I have heard such good things about her new cookbook. It is a beautiful book, thick pages and very substantial with tons of color photographs throughout the book. There are many many recipes. Some are basic and some are quite complex. There are recipes to make your own buttermilk which I think I might actually try since it is so hard to find good buttermilk without chemicals and growth hormones. The other recipes are a little less intriguing to me. When flipping through this book I found maybe a handful of recipes that I would actually make. The rest are recipes that include hard to find ingredients like rabbit, squid, or quail. There was also a few recipes on making your own sausage. This isn't something I see myself trying to attempt any time soon. Even the desserts didn't seem like ones that I would make. Before deciding to purchase this book, I highly recommend paging through it to see if the recipes fit your taste. Unfortunately they didn't fit mine except for a few. Overall this is a nice cookbook, one that is beautiful to look at but not as nice to cook from. I received a free copy of this book from Blogging for Books in exchange for my honest review. I received a copy of the Fast Metabolism Food RX book and was excited to see what kinds of different recipes the book had. Unfortunately there were not many recipes. There was a lot of information on which foods you should eat for certain conditions like IBS, indigestions, high cholesterol and diabetes. There was tons of information on each condition and the book covered a broad range of subjects and dietary concerns. Perhaps it would be better to have the other books written buy this offer as well. I found the book to be interesting but it didn't tell me much that I didn't already know. I was specifically looking for powerful recipes and lists of foods that wold be good to eat. There are lists of foods but maybe 10-20 choices. Not a comprehensive list. So overall I would say if you struggle with any of the conditions that this book addresses, it would be a worthwhile read. If you are looking for lots of healthy recipes to deal with those conditions, I would skip it. I received a copt of this book from Blogging for Books in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Click on the link to get yours: http://amzn.to/23p5qrq

4 x 4 Diet Review
I was excited to receive a copy of the 4 x 4 diet. I am always on the lookout for healthy recipe ideas. This book was more of a diet book instead of a cookbook. It gave lots of tips on how to lose weight and there wasn't as many recipes or food suggestions as I had hoped for. The information contained in this book was informative although there was a lot of information that I already knew. Overall, if you are starting out losing weight this is a great reference for exercise and eating that will benefit you. If you are looking for more than that, this might not be the right pick for you. I received a copy of this book for free from Blogging for Books in exchange for my honest review.

I was very excited to review the I Quit Sugar Cookbook. I love eating healthy and finding new ways to do so for myself and my kids is something I enjoy. This cookbook is beautiful with colorful photographs and thick pages. Many of the recipes are savory, with a few sweet ones as well. There are tons of great recipes to choose from including, Bacon ’N’ Egg Quinoa Oatmeal, Gift-Wrapped Miso Cod, Caramelized Leek, Apple, and Rosemary Socca, Green Spaghetti and Meatballs, Broc Bites and Cauli Popcorn, Chocolate Peanut Butter Crackles and Strawberry Cheesecake Mug Cake. Sometimes while paging through a cookbook, there are only a handful of recipes that look like something you would actually make.. All of the recipes in this cookbook appealed to me and I can't wait to get started. I highly recommend this cookbook. It is chock full of great recipes, some are different but not so different that your husband and kids won't want to eat them. It makes a great addition to my cookbook library.
